His luck apparently on the wane, an alleged serial burglar was committing his latest heist when two armed citizens fired shotguns. Police say the fleeing suspect broke into a nearby residence where 11-year-old Nicole Mendolia was home alone. A concerned neighbor knew the suspect was in the area and called Nicole's father, Anthony Mendolia, who hurried home. Nicole hid under the covers for about 20 minutes until her father arrived armed with a 9mm pistol and fired two shots at the suspect, who fled the scene. The suspect was turned over to police after treatment for a gunshot wound. Nicole wanted him to know," ... You really got what you deserved today. You really deserved to be shot ... Seriously, you need to go to jail. You got problems." (10 News, Tampa Bay, FL, 08/02/08)

Though he held the door shut against a 20-year-old intruder for as long as he could, police say an 84-year-old homeowner then grew tired. In desperation, he yelled for his wife to retrieve his AS-caliber handgun. He fired one shot at the intruder, who will be arrested pending his release from the hospital. "You could tell [the homeowner] was devastated," Hancock County, Miss., Sheriff's Investigator Andre Fizer said of the 911 tape, "You could tell he was scared." According to police, a not-so stealthy intruder awakened a couple by loudly whistling in their basement. The homeowner grabbed his shotgun to investigate and that's when the situation got even more bizarre. The intruder was covered in barbecue sauce and wearing the homeowner's hat and his wife's jacket. The homeowner escorted the sticky intruder upstairs at gunpoint. The disturbed man told police he'd obtained the sauce from the couple's refrigerator in order to don "an urban disguise, if you will," because he believed the FBI was after him. A group of doctors holding a lunch meeting at an upscale restaurant first thought a man was pulling a joke on them, but they realized the seriousness of the situation when the man forcefully tugged a doctor's tie and demanded his wallet. Police say the robber took the doctor's money and left, but soon returned. At that point, one of the doctors had enough. "Before we knew it, [the doctor] pulls his gun out and told the guy, 'Get away, get out of this restaurant now," recalls Dr. Charles Weatherby. "The guy looked back and [the doctor] said, 'If you look back again, I'm going to shoot you." The doctor escorted the robber outside at gunpoint, where he was arrested. Police say a family was unloading groceries when three armed men approached and demanded money. When the father said he had nothing to give them, one assailant said, "Get the baby!" Fearing for his child, the father drew a handgun and opened fire on the men, who briefly returned fire before running away. One of the robbers crawled away as if shot until he was able to join his accomplices. They sped away in a black SUV and were being sought by police. No members of the family, including the baby, were injured. (KNXV-TV, Phoenix, AZ, 07/07/08)

Martin Garrison was asleep on his brother's couch when, according to police, five people intent on burglary pulled up outside. Two armed suspects invaded the home while their accomplices waited in the car. "I thought it was all a bad dream," Roger Garrison said. "I didn't know what their intentions were. It was scary." When one of the burglars pointed a weapon at Martin, he drew a .25-caliber handgun from under the couch and shot one of the burglars three times. The wounded burglar died on the scene. Police were led to the dead man's accomplices when they answered incoming calls to his cell phone. "My brother is still real upset about it," Roger explained. "Robberies are something you hear about, but you never want to go through one." (Star Banner, Ocala, FL, 07/23/08)

Citizen Of The World

As the crowd in Berlin this summer deliriously chanted his name, Illinois freshman Senator Barack Obama-acting as if he were already President of the United States proclaimed: "People of the world, this is our moment!" and anointed himself as a "citizen of the world."

For those of us who have tirelessly fought to keep a United Nations gun ban treaty at bay, Obama's claim is a chilling reminder of what will happen if he captures the White House in the coming election.

I know of only two other individuals who actually believe they are "Citizens of the World"-billionaire George Soros and his gun-ban surrogate, Rebecca Peters-who relentlessly work to trump our national sovereignty and our individual rights with the global power of the United Nations one-world vision.

If Barack Obama actually assumes American sovereign power, the three "citizens of the world" together Obama, Soros and Peters-will doubtless attempt to make all Americans "subjects" in their new world. This would be a world in which ordinary people are disarmed; a world without the rights we uniquely exercise as free Americans; a world where American courts will recognize international law as overriding our Constitution.

Already, with a media consumed with adoration for Obama, we are seeing a drumbeat with story after story claiming America's Second Amendment freedom is responsible for drug cartel crime in Mexico or street crime in Canada or violence in Columbia and other nations in conflict. This big media propaganda is straight out of the George Soros and Rebecca Peters playbook.

Obama, who has embraced all nature of domestic "gun control" -from outright bans, to a federal law overriding and negating state Right-to-Carry statutes, to endorsing the now unconstitutional Washington, D.C. ban on armed self-defense in the home, to registration and licensing-now makes the utterly false claim that he's for the Second Amendment.

Obama was aptly described in a Washington Times op-ed by Tony Blankley with questions we are all asking: "Dictator or Democrat? Who in the world is this man? Where in the world is the responsible media? What's going on?"

A look at "Citizen of the World" Soros and his direct strings to Obama clears the intentional fog of Obama's presidential campaign.

Through a web of international, interconnected funding organs led by his Open Society Institute, as one of the world's richest men, Soros has become the master puppeteer in global social engineering. Without Soros' money and orchestration, the global gun ban movement would not exist. He is at war with gun ownership, especially in America.

Soros' chief instrument in this world war is the United Nations. The means to pull those strings is his International Action Network on Small Arms (IAN SA), headed by World Citizen Rebecca Peters.

In her native Australia, Peters first pressed for gun licensing and registration. The result? In 1996-97, through Peter's efforts, 700,000 registered long guns-all semi-auto and pump rifles, and all self-loading shotguns-were confiscated from licensed owners and destroyed.

That civil disarmament led Soros to bring Peters to our soil where she used $10 million in Soros' money to oversee Rosie O'Donnell's Million Mom March. Then Soros moved Peters to the world stage as head of IANSA, based in crime ridden "civilly disarmed" London where truly only the outlaws have guns.

When I debated her at Kings College London, Peters said the UN gun ban was "reasonable" and that Americans should be allowed only the use of " single-shot rifles." (She earlier told CN N that firearms capable of shooting beyond 100 yards should be banned as "sniper rifles.")

As for her demand for a worldwide ban on privately owned handguns, she told a British questioner (prohibited from owning any handguns) at the debate, "I am sad for you. I suppose you will miss your sport. Take up another sport."

In 2001-after years of support by the Clinton administration-Soros and Peters were counting on a United Nations conference to create a world gun ban treaty.

But newly inaugurated President George W. Bush intervened. John Bolton, then U.S. Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, stopped the treaty cold.

Seething with deep public hatred for President Bush, George Soros swore that he would spend all of his personal billions to remove him and buy the White House for Massachusetts' gun ban U.S. Senator John Kerry. To control the outcome of the 2004 Presidential election, Soros bankrolled a shadowy network of quasi-political groups like the notorious MoveOn.org.

The gem among what has been called Soros’ “Shadow Party" was a Soros funded "think tank," the Center for American Progress (CAP), created for John Podesta, President Clinton's White House chief of staff, who was the point man for the Clintons' assaults on the Second Amendment.

Among the radical activists hired by Podesta was Teddy Kennedy's chief counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Melody Barnes. Her CAP title: Executive Director for Policy.

After Soros' political minions failed to stop President Bush's reelection in 2004, the world stage billionaire went underground. But the organizations he created-and still bankrolls-grew in power and influence on "progressive politics."

And this brings us back to Barack Obama and Soros' direct strings as global political puppeteer.

When Obama was offending American voters with his arrogant actions as presumptive U.S. President while in Europe, the Washington Post and Atlantic.com reported that he was forming a presidential "transition team" to plan the takeover of the reins of the federal government, even before accepting his party's official nomination.

That team will be headed by Soros' key agent in Washington-you guessed it-John Podesta.

Already, a handful of key CAP executives have moved from Soros' front group to Obama's campaign staff-including former Kennedy counsel Barnes, who now serves as Obama's "senior domestic policy advisor."

Imagine the power these people will wield over our lives if they become key White House staffers and policy makers.

Imagine the power George Soros will hold.

This is just a peek at the Soros connection and of UN-dominated orders that will mark an Obama regime. It is reason enough for gun owners to band together on election day and truly vote for "Change" -changing Obama's smug plans for our lives and our freedom by voting NObama in NOvember.
